Meet Your Board Treasurer

What is your position on the board/what does that entail?
Treasurer. Because the hoa has accountants through our property management agency, my primary responsibility is making sure we are bring fiscally responsible and making the most of the hoa dues. I keep a 20 year plan updated to ensure we are setting aside the appropriate amount of money now so we do not have surprise assessments to the community. I also am always looking for ways to cut expenses while maintaining the quality of life we enjoy at MVP.
How long have you served on the board?

What is your favorite part of living in MVP?
Close proximity to Marta and Perimeter  restaurants/shopping.
What is one project/improvement that you are working on for MVP in 2011?
I'm working to get our water meters fixed and the billing rates updated so that we are all billed correctly. I believe everyone should pay their fair share and not being burdened by their neighbors excess use."
What is the most challenging part of your position?
Figuring out the future costs of big ticket items and then working them into the budget if they exceed the estimate.
What message would you like to give to the community?
Were working to keep your hoa fees as stable as possible. Our goal is to not have any surprise assessments and to only increases hoa fees in line with inflation ( a few percent per yr) each yr.

Meet Your Board President


Steve Bock

What is your position on the board/what does that entail?
President.
Orchestrate discussions among board members on property issues and act as liaison with property management company and other outside organizations, such as the City of Sandy Springs, Perimeter CID and vendors.
How long have you served on the board?
4 years.
What is your favorite part of living in MVP?
The feeling of privacy while being adjacent to great restaurants and shopping.
What is one project/improvement that you are working on for MVP in 2011?
Sidewalks outside our boundary along Mount Vernon.
What is the most challenging part of your position?
The overriding challenge is to keep MVP looking good with very limited resources.
What message would you like to give to the community?
Our residents possess a lot of talent and skills. We could reach our potential as a community with your ideas and energy.
What is your favorite local restaurant?
New York Prime in Buckhead for the best filet mignon imaginable.
In this area, like Seasons 52 for the flatbreads and diminutive desserts.
