Why live in Mount Vernon Plantation

If you have lived in any part of Atlanta or metro Atlanta, chances are you have experienced the heavy traffic congestion during rush hour times especially on certain parts of I-285. It’s an interesting fact to know when I-285 opened nearly 40 years ago; it was designed to serve as a bypass for Atlanta.  Now, it functions as a main artery that supports up to 250,000 vehicles each day.  This is why Live Work and Play areas in Atlanta have become so popular!
Mount Vernon Plantation is located within a 50+ acre community in the Perimeter area. You will hear Mount Vernon Plantation referred to as “Atlanta’s Walking Neighborhood”. This is because everything from shopping, restaurants and office complexes are all located within walking distance from these Atlanta townhomes. Perimeter Shopping is one of the best shopping areas in Atlanta and include Super Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Joseph A. Banks Clothiers, Boneheads, Wine Styles, Doc Green’s, and more. It has an open layout with plenty of parking spaces all around. Ashwood Restaurant Place is another great center containing some highly popular restaurants including: McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant, P F Chang’s China Bistro and and Brio Tuscan Grille with great patios with lakeside scenery. Also nearby is Perimeter Village which has Walmart, DSW, Borders, Cost Plus/World Market, and Hobby Lobby. Perimeter Mall is approx. 1.5 miles away with more anchor stores, shops and restaurants. The concourse area including the King and Queen Tower are nearby along with many other office complexes for work. Marta bus routes with multiple train locations in this area make traveling to other parts of Atlanta very easy inspite of the congestion!
